The meaning and drive behind the brand all originates from the name: Doyenne.
The definition of the word Doyenne is the most respected or prominent woman in a particular field. It is a Latin word, and I love the sound of the word just as much as the meaning. I wanted to create a brand that empowers women to feel their very best and as such to become a Doyenne of whatever they want to accomplish. Whether that is just being the Doyenne of their own life, or in their career, as a mother, or of a hobby. The first part of success in my opinion is feeling and believing that it is within your reach and that you can do it. With the clothes I design, my first consideration is always 'How does this make me feel?' The fit of an item is the most important thing, each piece must be timeless, flattering to the female form, but also bold and strong. This balance is very difficult, and often means multiple fittings and pattern tweaks to get it just right. The fabric is also very important, high quality luxury fabrics always make you feel confident and empowered. Wearing a luxury product made from luxury materials will automatically make you stand taller and in turn feel like a Doyenne.
