THE BRAND
Doyenne The Label is a luxury women's clothing brand, inspired by a love for the English countryside, beautiful fabrics, and the belief that great fitting clothes can empower and elevate not just how you look but also how you feel. My designs can be worn wherever your life takes you, whether that be out in the countryside, to work in an office, a day at the races or a special celebration. Each piece is timeless, easy to style and can be worn all year round, year after year (English weather dependent!) I so strongly believe in crafting garments that are practical, functional and durable, while remaining stylish. These are investment pieces, that will stay a staple in your wardrobe for many years to come. Buying a Doyenne The Label piece is also supporting the British textile industry. Every piece is designed, sampled and produced in Great Britain. This industry is so much smaller than it once was, and with your support, hopefully we can help to grow it once again.
DEFINITION OF A DOYENNE
‘Doyenne’ is a Latin word meaning the most respected and prominent woman in her field. My mission is for our garments to empower each customer to be a Doyenne, in whatever aspect of their life is most important to them. The message of the brand is to inspire every woman to be the best version of herself, take charge, feel empowered and live the life you have always dreamt of. Whatever life may bring for you, we are here to dress you for every eventuality, whilst always making sure you feel like a Doyenne.
ABOUT ME
In January 2023, I left my job and put all of my time and energy into creating Doyenne The Label. I studied Fashion Design at college, and then went onto work for a well known high street retailer within buying. London life just wasn't for me, I love the countryside too much, and decided to take a more local to home job at a packaging and branding company. However, this wasn't my passion, and I have always known I wanted to start and run a business of my own, and all I have ever imagined myself doing is exactly this - a premium ladies clothing brand all designed by myself! I hope you follow along with my journey to see where this new challenge takes me, I am so excited, and feel grateful every day. I truly feel like a Doyenne, and now I want to make sure you feel like one too.
OUR PRINCIPLES
Our design ethos is based on timeless elegance, the beauty of the Great British countryside, and modernising traditional heritage fabrics. I design garments that intentionally don't conform to fast-fashion trends, and instead are classic, flattering shapes, made using beautiful Great British fabrics, and are trans-seasonal to be loved and worn all year round, forever. Each Doyenne The Label piece is designed inhouse in the UK, taking inspiration from classic silhouettes through history, that flatter the female body and empower the wearer to feel incredible. We work with an amazing pattern cutter in London, and together work tirelessly to perfect every pattern to fit the body like a glove. Our clothes are all made in the UK and we are extremely proud of this. The highest quality materials are meticulously sourced to ensure each piece feels luxurious and lasts a lifetime, these are pieces to save in your wardrobe for your children and grandchildren to wear after you.​
